BROSMIND ARMY - KEMISTRY GALLERY

The Canotiers is a military unit of our Brosmind Army, a personal project of ours. A limited series of fifty ceramic sculptures, the Canotiers are named after the straw hat they wear. Although they’re all made from the same mold, each sculpture is unique in the design of its face, tattoo, and ID tag. The soldiers’ facial expressions can be changed by turning the hats.

In 2010 we were invited to exhibit the project at Kemistry Gallery in London. On top of exhibiting the Canotiers and two lightboxes, we also created a tape mural and wall painting for the show.
